Ravi Krishnan, M.D.


Dr. Ravi Krishnan is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, cataracts and Laser vision correction. Dr Krishnan received his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine in College Station. He then went on to complete an internship at the Baylor College of Medicine, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Krishnan completed his subspecialty training in glaucoma at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Krishnan has been in private practice in Corpus Christi since 1997.

Dr. Krishnan has performed thousands of cataract surgeries. He specializes in "clear cornea, no stitch, no patch, no shot”, cataract surgery using the latest multifocal lenses. Dr. Krishnan has also undergone extensive training for Lasik refractive surgery. He is the only fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist in the Coastal Bend area at this time.

Locally, Dr Krishnan is actively involved in the training of family practice residents with the Columbia Bay Area Hospital Residency Program. He has also conducted numerous Continuing Medical Education presentations for medical professionals in the South Texas area. Dr. Krishnan is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Medical Association, and the Nueces County Medical Society. Dr. Krishnan and the staff at the Eye Institute of Corpus Christi are devoted to providing excellence in eye care.

Ken Kikuchi, O.D.


Dr. Ken KikuchiDr. Ken Kikuchi joined The Eye Institute of Corpus Christi in 2006. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York in 2002. He then decided to pursue his career in Optometry. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2006. He then received his Glaucoma certification soon after graduation. Dr. Kikuchi is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. He is a therapeutic optometrist who is glaucoma certified. His special interests in eyecare are: anterior segment pathology, glaucoma, neuroophthalmology, and pediatrics. He is bilingual in both English and Japanese. He is also involved in family practice residency training and continuing education presentations.
